When to take a closer look
When should you
have your panel checked?
A panel upgrade starts with understanding the existing installation and the equipment you want to power. A larger panel is not automatically the right answer for every property.
Discuss your panel project →- Planning an EV charger or new electric equipment
- Adding circuits for a remodel or business space
- Replacing damaged or aging panel equipment
- Running out of usable circuit space
- Experiencing repeated breaker trips
Repeated trips need diagnosis. They do not, by themselves, establish that a full panel replacement is required.
Upgrade or replacement?
Panel replacement
or a service upgrade?
We’ll help define what your project actually needs before discussing a specific installation.
Panel replacement
Replace existing panel equipment. This does not necessarily increase the utility service capacity. The existing installation and proposed loads still need to be assessed.
Service or capacity upgrade
A broader project may involve service equipment, a load assessment and utility coordination. Availability of 100A or 200A options depends on the property and utility requirements.

A defined scope
What we review
for your estimate.
Panel projects vary. The estimate should identify the equipment, installation work and coordination included in your specific scope.
- Existing equipment and planned electrical loads
- Panel location, access and circuit requirements
- Permit and inspection requirements
- Utility coordination where applicable
- Expected power interruption and scheduling
Call or send a photo of the panel to discuss an evaluation. Keep covers in place; do not open electrical equipment for a photo.

Panel project FAQs
Panel upgrade FAQs
Have a specific panel or property in mind? Send the details or call (213) 433-5955.
Do I need a 200-amp panel?
Not every property does. The appropriate capacity depends on the existing service, a load assessment, planned equipment and utility requirements.
Can an EV charger be installed without a panel upgrade?
Sometimes. Existing capacity and the proposed charging load need to be evaluated. A charger installation should not automatically be sold as a full service upgrade.
Does the project require permits?
Panel replacement and service upgrade work generally involve permits and inspection. The requirements for your location and project scope must be confirmed before work.
Will the power be turned off?
A panel replacement typically involves a power interruption. The scope and coordination required determine scheduling; this should be discussed before the work is arranged.
What affects the estimate?
Equipment, service capacity, location, access, existing wiring conditions, utility work and permit requirements can all affect the scope and price.
Do you work with small commercial properties?
Yes. Right Electrical Solutions serves residential and commercial clients, including business owners, landlords and property managers.
